2023… The Year of the Donut-Making Robots

That’s right, Krispy Kreme CEO Mike Tattersfield announced in December that the doughnut maker will be using robots to frost, fill and decorate their famous tasty treats.  Tattersfield says his plan is to reduce repetitive tasks for employees so they can focus on customer experience.  Click below for more on Krispy Kreme’s plans for automation:

White Castle has also announced a move toward automation.  A robot named “Flippy 2” has been taking over the fry station in the famous fast food restaurants. The effect of robotics on our own economy and labor markets will be interesting, to say the least.  Stay tuned for updates!
