Back to blogging after a week at the Raymond James National Conference in Orlando. What a trip!

Raymond James is an outstanding partner. We hope it will comfort our clients to know how important they are to Raymond James.  Wheeler Financial has many options for firms to partner with, and it’s the values as outlined by CEO Paul Reilly that consistently remind us we’ve made a good choice of partners.  They are firm values integrity, independence, and long-term thinking.

The conference always provides a great atmosphere for team building, too. There was an outing to Universal Studios as well as a team dinner with just the five of us. We are excited to be returning from the conference reinvigorated and full of new ideas to share with you.

And finally, I can now say for the first time that there is a Dallas Cowboys player I actually like. Emmitt Smith was OUSTANDING in the way he told his life story and tied in some great lessons for the 3500 people attending the conference.  In addition to Smith, Raymond James also hosted an excellent presentation from James Clear, author of the book “Atomic Habits” which I have read and highly recommend. 

Now, it’s time to get back to work and turn our ideas from the conference into action.
